TANAP project to enter into service in June
The Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) project will enter into service as of June 12, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Berat Albayrak said Friday. Turkey will launch its first deep sea oil and gas drill in the Mediterranean this summer, Albayrak added.

Gazprom completes construction of first leg of Turkish Stream gas pipeline
The construction of a deep-water part of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline’s first leg finished on Monday near Turkey’s Black Sea coast, Russia’s energy giant Gazprom said. The average speed of the construction in the deep-water area, carried out by the Pioneering Spirit vessel, reached 4.3 km per day. The maximum efficiency – 5.6 km per day – was achieved twice this February.
The Pioneering Spirit vessel will continue the deep-water construction of the second leg of the gas pipeline in the third quarter of 2018.

The government of Turkey introduced tax reliefs on Turkish Stream project
The government of Turkey introduced tax reliefs and privileges for the implementation of the Turkish Stream project. According to the tax document, the activities carried out within the “Turkish Stream” in the exclusive economic zone in the Black Sea as well as on the continental shelf will not be taxed.

Oil-rich Chad invites Turkish companies
Turkey can help harness country’s underground resources. Petroleum and Energy Minister Bechir Madet told Anadolu Agency. “We signed joint agreements on hydrocarbon fields with my counterpart Turkish Energy Minister Berat Albayrak and we will welcome Turkish companies to extract oil and energy resources in our country.” Chad has crude oil reserves that were estimated at 900 million barrels in 2004 and it also has plentiful sunshine, offering opportunities for solar energy projects.

Gazprom launches talks on raising project financing for Turkish Stream
It is planned that Gazprom’s investment in the Turkish Stream project in 2017 will amount to $700 mln. Russia’s top gas producer Gazprom has launched talks on raising project financing for the Turkish Stream natural gas pipeline project, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee Andrey Kruglov said Thursday. We’ve already launched talks with both foreign and Russian banks.

Gazprom To Begin Turkish Stream Construction In Next Few Days.
Russian energy giant Gazprom will begin construction on the Black Sea portion of the Turkish Stream natural gas pipeline in a few days, according to CEO Alexei Miller, who spoke to reporters on Thursday.

TANAP project 75 percent complete
Over 75 percent of the work on the TANAP project for the delivery of Azerbaijani natural gas to Turkey has been completed, Azertac reported citing TANAP Director General Saltuk Duzyol. He went on to say that TANAP is being constructed in two phases, including Phase-0 is of 56 inches diameter and 1 334 km long. Construction works in this phase are being carried out on the route starting from Turkish-Georgian border stretching to Eskisehir.
